Senior Software Engineer · Ankara
Berkay Özcan
I have been writing software professionally since 2017, and the work has moved through a lot of different worlds: defence and telecom systems, research platforms for biotechnology and health, trading and risk tools for energy markets, a digital bank, and now security. The industries change and the job underneath stays the same. Design the parts other people depend on, then keep them dependable.
Today I am a senior software engineer in Ankara, on a team that works out how an attacker could move through a network before anyone actually does. Earlier projects reached people in other ways: an app a few hundred thousand people installed, and a set of research tools that ended up cited in published papers. Moving between domains like that has been the best part, because each one asks a different question of the same craft.
AuraWorks is separate from that. It is not an agency and I am not taking client work. It is where the things I build in my own time live, together with the notes I take while building them, so that both are findable a year later, including by me.
If something here saved you an hour, the best thing you can do is tell me what it was.
