AuraWorks

Terms

Last updated 30 August 2026

AuraWorks is the studio name Berkay Özcan publishes under. Everything here is offered as is, and each product carries its own licence. These terms say what that means in practice.

The software

Licensing is per product rather than blanket. AuraLyrics is released under the MIT License. You may use, copy, modify and redistribute the source code under that licence, whose full text ships with each project. The licence covers the code written by AuraWorks and nothing else.

The software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. In no event shall the author be liable for any claim, damages or other liability arising from the software or its use.

There is no service level, no uptime commitment and no obligation to publish updates. AuraLyrics depends on the Spotify desktop app and on lrclib.net, neither of which is operated by AuraWorks; if either changes or goes away, parts of the app stop working and there may be no fix.

Lyrics content

AuraLyrics does not host, store or distribute a catalogue of lyrics. It queries the community-maintained LRCLIB database at request time and displays whatever LRCLIB returns for the track you are playing. The content is served by lrclib.net, not by this project, and AuraWorks makes no claim of ownership over it and no representation about its accuracy or its licensing status.

Rights holders: if you believe lyrics displayed through this app infringe your rights, write to ozc.berkay@gmail.com and it will be addressed. Note that removing content at its source is a matter for LRCLIB, since that is where it is stored and served from.

Trade marks and affiliation

Spotify is a trade mark of Spotify AB, and Apple and macOS are trade marks of Apple Inc. AuraWorks is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them. AuraLyrics reads playback state through Spotify's own documented scripting interface and never handles your Spotify credentials.
