1The Problem
Spotify's desktop app makes you leave what you are doing to read a lyric, and its lyrics view has never had a floating or mini mode. The alternatives are either abandoned, or bare-bones, or an Electron window that costs more memory than the music player itself.
2The Solution
AuraLyrics lives in the menu bar. Aura mode shows three borderless lines over your editor, with no window and no background, so you can read them and then ignore them. The colour of the album cover appears as a halo on the current line and fades to the next one when the track changes. The lyrics view spreads that same colour into a background behind the whole song.
What it does
Aura Mode
Three borderless lines over your work. No window and no background, just the words.
Colour on the words
The album cover tints the current line itself rather than a panel behind it, so the overlay covers nothing.
Time-Synced Lyrics
Lyrics come from the LRCLIB community database, cached in memory and on disk so a song you have played before appears instantly.
